Fees and Cancellation Policy:

For some appointments for specialist services at Elanic we charge a fee. To book one of these appointments Elanic may take your credit card details, which are only used to process payments and are not stored on our systems. Elanic reserve the right to charge the full consultation fee in the event you do not attend for your appointment. You can cancel up to 48hrs prior to your consultation with no charge. To cancel your appointment please contact our appointments line on 0141 328 2818.

Consultations:

Your consultation fee pays for the time you spend with the doctor and his expertise and advice. If you choose not to go ahead with surgery or treatment or in the opinion of the doctor you are not suitable there is no refund for the consultation fee.

Privacy Policy:

Personal data submitted on this website will be used for the purposes specified in this privacy policy or in relevant parts of the website.

Elanic collect personal data for the purposes of providing prospective clients with treatment information and subsequently for administering such treatments should the client wish to proceed. We will retain information, including medical photography, for clients treated for a minimum period of 6 years after their last episode of treatment with the clinic, which is in line with a legal obligation set out by Scottish Government, as these are classed as medical records.

General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR)

In line with the requirements of the GDPR you will be required to give specific informed consent on how we may use your personal information, and in cases where this permission has been given we may use this information for such purposes as:

  • Personalise your browsing experience
  • Send you information by post, email or telephone
  • Send you marketing information about our products and services by post, email or electronic communication.

Please note that this list in not fully inclusive nor exhaustive and will depend on the specific consents you have given.

We WILL NOT send you information from third parties nor give your information to third parties. You can inform us at any time if you wish to withdraw any or all consents given, by emailing us at info@elanic.co.uk.

In the event that you wish your data to be shared with someone or an organisation out with Elanic for any purpose other than your ongoing care related to treatment received at Elanic, then you will be required to make this request in writing and complete the required release forms. Thereafter the safe management of the data shared is the responsibility of you and those with whom you have disclosed this to.

Data Protection Officer

Elanic is registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office and we have in place a Data Protection Officer who oversees compliance with current regulatory requirements. We take all precautions to keep your information private and secure, however, data transmission across the internet may not be secure and we cannot guarantee the security of data sent over the internet.

Right to be Forgotten

In line with the principles set out in GDPR you have the right to request that all personal data held by Elanic is ERASED but only after a minimum period of 6 years has elapsed since your last treatment at the clinic, and assuming that this information is not subject to ongoing issues for which it may be required. These instances might include, additional or revision treatment, customer complaints, litigation etc.

Access

You have the right to access all the information Elanic holds on you, either electronic or written, including photographs, at any time. To do so you must inform us in writing of your request, there will be NO CHARGE to provide you with copies of your information.

Elanic operates a complaints procedure in accordance with Independent Sector Healthcare Adjudication Service (ISCAS) which is recognised by the regulator, Healthcare Improvement Scotland (HIS).
